Megastar Shipping Pte Ltd is a private and locally owned company with a paid up capital of S$1.5 million, registered in Singapore . Established in 2000, it also forms part of a larger outfit under Bintang Mas Group of Companies. It started from a humble beginning of 15 staff in a locality of 2000 sq ft, and has since expanded into a 28 plus staff outfit in the same locality but over 4000 sq ft with registered address being 19 & 21 Neil Road Singapore 088814.

 
 
The Bintang Mas Group of companies consists of:

Marine Port Services Pte Ltd which is a ship-owner having 4 semi-containerised vessels of between 2000-4000 dwts, operating between Singapore , Brunei and East Malaysia ports for over 20 years and a project specialist in oil and gas, machinery and heavylift cargoes etc.

Winstar Shipping Pte Ltd being a tug and a barge owner of 16 vessels also operates a liner service between Singapore and Batam.

Winstar Logistics, an international freight forwarding outfit with its extensive network of logistics tie up worldwide, moves about 150 containers per month is our groups freight forwarding outfit

On top of the shipping activities, Bintang Mas Shipping Pte Ltd operates an appropriated berth in Pasir Panjang Wharf in Port of Singapore Authority , with its own land equipment and stevedoring company under Bintang Mas Services Pte Ltd. Similarly Megastar Shipping Pte Ltd has access to the same facility with its own land equipments also.
 
 
The focus of Megastar Shipping in the beginning was centred on liner agency and feeder services but has since gone into multi-faceted core avtivities of:
(1) Liner agency
(2) Liner trades (under Mekong Shipping Line Ltd)
(3) Chartering
(4) Project and Freight forwarding
(5) Trading
 
 
In line with the core activities above, the company staff and support systems (including the electronic/software system linkages) have also restructured along business lines such that you will find a clear line of focus from the lower end staffing to the board of directors comprising of 3 persons, Mr Steven Ee, managing director, Capt. Rajiv Chada and Chua Swee Teck, both directors, all of whom have extensive shipping experiences and are still very much on the ground as well as leading the company.
 
 

In line with the expansion of its activities, it is operating with a network of own agents in South East Asia, India and Australia, as well as owning office in Indonesia, Brunei and East Malaysia. In addition, and as mentioned earlier, being part of the larger group of Bintang Mas brings along the vast network of the group itself as well as networks in Europe, USA, China etc.
